too many late nights and waking up sapped of energy lately........a trend which im trying to halt.......anyways i was linked to this band a few weeks ago, after several listens, i have to say im digging it........shonen bat are from spain and play minimalist, drowsy emotive stuff with a mathy edge.....its definately got that 90s midwestern flair displayed by old time greats like braid, sweater weather, the regrets, ect, but alot more sparse sounding than any of the aforementioned acts.....good music to fall asleep to....thats a compliment..........there seems to be a steady flow of bands of this type comming out ofspain at the moment, and these guys are very well worth your while.
